What you can check with Evaluation
Evaluation is not a reduced-format reader. It is intended to show how TdmsSlice behaves with your own TDMS files.
- Open TDMS files and inspect Groups, Channels, and metadata
- Quick Preview for supported data types
- Select a range using the original Channel sample index
- Export CSV with companion metadata JSON
- Use the same core TDMS reading and safety behavior as Standard
Evaluation and Standard
Evaluation and Standard use the same core TDMS reading, supported data types, Quick Preview, metadata features, time handling, and safety behavior.
The main practical limit in Evaluation is CSV export: up to 100 samples per export.

Run TdmsSlice
TdmsSlice is distributed as a portable ZIP for the initial release. No installer is required.
- 1 Download the ZIP
Download TdmsSlice Evaluation from this official page.
- 2 Extract the ZIP
Extract the package to a folder where you want to keep TdmsSlice.
- 3 Open the TdmsSlice folder
The required runtime components are included with the application.
- 4 Run TdmsSlice.exe
Open your TDMS file and test the workflow with your own data.
Windows SmartScreen
Windows may show a SmartScreen warning the first time you run a newly downloaded application. If a warning appears, confirm that the ZIP was downloaded from the official Seven Dwarfs Software website before continuing.
Release-specific guidance will be finalized after the production ZIP has been tested through the actual public download path.
